Feeling your feelings as a form of self-care

Somewhere along the line in today’s digitized, desensitized world, expressing emotions, openly and honestly became a sign of weakness. But not here. Here, we text long paragraphs unapologetically and let people know when they’ve hurt us instead of just cutting them off. Here we know that feelings are meant to flow, so we let them do just that. Here, the vibe isn’t quite so much ‘touchy-feely’, but it is empathetic and honest.

And most of all, here, we never, ever let anyone tell us, “it’s not that serious.”

Because no one outside of ourselves ever gets to determine the weight with which we hold our own feelings.
